V Series Branding
In the highly commodified industrial market place, it’s challenging for brands to build identity and stand out.
The design team drew inspiration from the V-Gard hardhat; arguably MSA’s most iconic product. We used this language to build a brand mark, and a strategy, around the “V-Series” — creating a clear link between our industrial PPE offerings.
The bold brand mark pairs well with bold and direct language. When combined with clean graphics and imagery, the effect is impactful, but approachable.
Designer’s Notes:
While Industrial Design is my expertise, I like to consider the whole picture during the design process; this includes graphic design, brand strategy, and end-to-end user experience. My inclination is to build — so I use the tools at my disposal to demonstrate how a single element can catalyze an idea, and scale into a complete strategy.
